                                                                                 members of your family and friends to this service? It doesn’t matter if

                                                                                 they have never been to church before or haven’t been for a while. Please

                                                                                 let them know that they are welcome.

October 2nd                          6.30pm.               Licensing of Sheila Goulston to both our parishes as Pastoral Worker.

                                                                                 Sheila has extensive experience of being a carer and has great insights into

                                                                                 the area of inclusivity, specifically with regard to disability. We look

                                                                                 forward to her special service in Chester Cathedral in and then a service of

                                                                                 welcome during the Harvest Service on 10th October at 10.30am at St.

                                                                                 Matthew’s followed by a bring and share lunch. Please put this in your

                                                                                 diary.

 

Appeals for St. Matthew’s Autumn Fair – 13th November 2010

 

NEARLY NEW BRIC-A-BRAC STALL.

We are appealing for nearly new, or items in very good condition, for the above stall at the Autumn Fair. If you feel you have anything suitable, would you contact Barbara Hamilton (Tel 265558) or Rae Spence (268389) who are prepared to collect and store goods.

BOOK STALL.

The ladies who run this stall would be very grateful also to receive books and DVDs or CDs in good condition that you no longer need.

They also wonder if anybody has any shelves or a light-weight bookcase suitable for displaying books which they would be willing to lend or donate.

 There will be appeals for other items for the Fair nearer the time.

Confirmation

Confirmation service with communion will be on Sunday 21st November at 6.30pm. It seems a long way off but Summer might be a good time to consider being confirmed either adults or young people in year 7 or above. Please contact Elaine 730276 for further details.
